Question:

29 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Education if she has satisfied herself that the sale of portion of Lyons Estate, Celbridge, County Kildare is in the best interests of education with particular reference to the agricultural community; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

I am satisfied that University College, Dublin, sold that portion of the Lyons Estate, Celbridge, County Kildare, which it regarded as being superfluous to their needs and in doing so took account of the best educational interests of the students of the college.
