47 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Education the recommendations she has received from the Higher Education Authority regarding the provision of degree level education in the south-eastern region; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

I have not received any recommendations from the Higher Education Authority on this matter. However the regional technical college in Waterford is the largest in the country and provides a broad range of courses including five at degree level.
