Vol. 408 No. 2

Written Answers - Carbury, Kildare, Water Scheme.

Bernard J. Durkan

Question:

118 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for the Environment the current position in relation to the Parsonstown/Drehid group water supply scheme in Carbury, County Kildare; if it is expected that this scheme can proceed in the current year or in 1992; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

This scheme is at the planning stage at present. Kildare County Council have requested that the trunk mains be upsized and the design revised in order to provide a water supply to two adjacent group schemes.

When these matters are resolved, the proposal will be considered further.
