51 Mr. Garland asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs whether, during the recent visit of the Iranian Foreign Minister to this country, he raised with him the introduction of democratic government in Iran when discussing the introduction of democracy in Iraq; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

There was no discussion at my meetings with the Foreign Minister of Iran on the internal arrangements for the Government of either Iran or Iraq.
