Vol. 408 No. 6

Written Answers. - Cork Child's Medical Needs.

Gerry O'Sullivan

Question:

77 Mr. G. O'Sullivan asked the Minister for Health if his attention has been drawn to the situation of a child (details supplied) in Cork who cannot be accommodated in any health scheme in Cork due to his medical condition; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

On receipt of the Deputy's question I had inquiries made from the Southern Health Board. The board are aware of the special needs of this child. I have asked them to ensure that the psychiatric and mental handicap services co-operate to ensure that the needs of this child are met.
