The total number of working groups chaired by civil servants of my Department, other than those on temporary foreign assignment with the Department of Foreign Affairs, during the most recent Irish Presidency is 163. In addition, meetings of the Special Agricultural Committee were chaired on 15 occasions during that Presidency period by a senior official of my Department.
