France and the Czech and Slovak Federal Republic, the organisers of the Assizes of the European Confederation which is to be held in Prague on 12 to 14 June, have, I understand, invited prominent personalities from countries throughout Europe, including Ireland, to participate in the event. The Government are not involved in, and were not consulted on, the preparation of the meeting.
