81 Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for Education if she will outline (1) the number of permanent wholetime primary teachers employed at present and (2) the number which will be employed on 1 September 1991.
There are 20,447 primary teachers employed at present.
It is estimated that approximately 20,700 primary teachers will be employed in September 1991.
