Vol. 409 No. 4

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Paul Bradford

Question:

148 Mr. Bradford asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason a person (details supplied) in County Cork who applied for a special beef premium for 13 cattle was paid for only ten cattle.

This applicant was refused grants on the additional animals on the grounds that an applicant is not permitted to make a second application in the same year, that the application was made after the closing date and that, in any event, the additional animals were not eligible for premium since they were under nine months old.

Paul Bradford

Question:

149 Mr. Bradford asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason for the delay in payment of an installation aid grant to a person (details supplied) in County Cork; and if he will outline when payment will issue.

It is hoped to have this application determined shortly. If the applicant is found to be eligible payment will be made as soon as possible.

Edward Nealon

Question:

177 Mr. Nealon asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if any grants are available for a person (details supplied) in County Sligo who used a coastal passage for access to about seven acres of his farm but who now finds that this part of his property is land-locked because the coast passage was washed away in last year's flooding.

There are no grants available from my Department for such a purpose.

Ivan Yates

Question:

178 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if a duplicate cheque will issue to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford in respect of a farm modernisation grant, as the previous cheque was out of date when presented; and, if so, when.

The cheque will be reissued within the next week.
