Vol. 409 No. 9

Written Answers. - Cathedral (Cork) School.

Gerry O'Sullivan

Question:

136 Mr. G. O'Sullivan asked the Minister for Education if she will outline her plans for the Cathedral School in Cork which is now no longer being used and is falling into disrepair; whether this school can be utilised to the benefit of the community; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

My Department have agreed to release their interest in the Cathedral boys, national school, Cork, and are in consultation with the Chief State Solicitor regarding the deed of release, which has been submitted by the school authorities. The question of the further use of the building is a matter for the school authorities.
