Vol. 409 No. 9

Written Answers. - Post Office Services.

Brendan Howlin

Question:

39 Mr. Howlin asked the Minister for Tourism, Transport and Communications if he has any plans to introduce post shops into the post office which would provide birthday cards, parcel materials and other items which would bring services to the people; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I understand that goods and services of this nature are already available in many sub-post offices. I understand that An Post are considering the question of the provision of such goods and services in their own post offices. I will, however, convey the Deputy's interest in the matter to An Post for their consideration.
