62 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food whether he intends to provide funding for the training of farrier apprentices (details supplied) in Dublin 12 since no provision has been made for such training since Bord na gCapall were dissolved.

Since the winding-up of Bord na gCapall, the Irish Thoroughbred Breeders Association have established a new farrier apprenticeship scheme similar to that formerly operated by the board. Financial support is provided by the association, the Turf Club, the Racing Board and other interests.
