Question:

4 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Taoiseach whether he proposes to establish a national forum on jobs involving the social partners and all the political parties as requested by the ICTU; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

5 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Taoiseach whether the Government propose to fulfil all of the terms of the Programme for Economic and Social Progress in full and on time as agreed; and if not, if he will outline the action he proposes to take.

6 Mr. Spring asked the Taoiseach if he has any plans to meet the social partners in the near future; whether in the course of any such meetings he will be proposing a re-negotiation of the Programme for Economic and Social Progress; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

7 Mr. Shatter asked the Taoiseach if he will give details of the discussions he has had with the social partners during the past three months with a view to renegotiating the Programme for Economic and Social Progress; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

8 Proinsias De Rossa asked the Taoiseach the number of meetings of the Central Review Committee of the Programme for Economic and Social Progress which have been held since I July; the matters discussed at these meetings; if, in particular, there was any consideration of special moves to deal with the unemployment problem which has increased substantially during the course of the summer months; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
