Question:

398 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for the Environment if he will outline the number of local authorities who, under the Housing Act, 1988, have submitted draft schemes of letting priorities to his Department; and if he will list the schemes which have been (1) approved and (2) rejected.

All county borough corporations, county councils, borough corporations and urban district councils, have submitted schemes of letting priorities under section 11 of the Housing Act, 1988 and nine town commissioners have also submitted schemes. To date approval has issued to the schemes listed in the following tabular statement. The remaining schemes, none of which has been rejected, are the subject of correspondence with the authorities concerned.
