Vol. 411 No. 1

Written Answers. - Kilcullen (Kildare) Sewerage Scheme Proposal.

Bernard J. Durkan

Question:

488 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for the Environment if he has yet agreed to provide the necessary funds and approval in respect of Kildare County Council plans for the provision of a sewerage scheme for Kilcullen, County Kildare; if he will outline the current position with regard to the actual site works; if full and final agreement has been reached between his Department and Kildare County Council in respect of the exact nature of the proposal; if the necessary funds are available now or will be in 1992; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

A preliminary report for a new sewerage scheme for Kilcullen is still under consideration in my Department. The question of funding does not arise at this stage.
