596 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for Education when funds will be provided for a new national school at Clogh, County Kilkenny; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
671 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Education the reason for the delay in having the sketch plans returned to the school authorities to enable them apply for planning permission for a new national school (details supplied) in County Kilkenny.
I propose to take Questions Nos. 596 and 671 together.
597 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for Education when funds will be sanctioned for the provision of a new vocational school at Johnstown, County Kilkenny; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
673 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Education if stage 4 documentation for the proposed vocational school in Johnstown, County Kilkenny has been examined by her Department; and if the planning of this project can now proceed to stage 5.
I propose to take Questions Nos. 597 and 673 together regarding the provision of a new vocational school at Johnstown, County Kilkenny. The planning of this project, plans for which have been revised by the VEC's design team, has now reached Stage IV (Detail Design) and the Department have sought additional information on this stage from the VEC. The question of the allocation of funds for the construction of the school will be considered when the planning process has been completed.
