616 Mr. Noonan (Limerick East) asked the Minister for Education if she will pay a grant in respect of a caretaker at a primary school (details supplied) in County Limerick for the period from 1 January, 1991 to date during which the school had employed a caretaker under a misunderstanding that they had Departmental sanction to do so.

The Department have agreed to pay a grant in respect of the caretaker concerned from his starting date 14 January 1991. This decision has been conveyed to the school.
