Vol. 411 No. 1

Written Answers. - Permanent Defence Forces Pensions.

Theresa Ahearn

Question:

706 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Defence the steps he intends to take to remedy the anomalies in the pensions for military overseas service to pensioners of the Permanent Defence Forces; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I am not aware of any anomalies of the kind referred to but, if the Deputy provides more details, I will have the matter considered. I should say that service in the Permanent Defence Forces, whether at home or overseas, is reckonable for superannuation purposes under the Defence Forces Pension Schemes.
