An agreement on the development of Economic, Industrial, Scientific and Technological Co-operation was entered into on 21 September 1977 between the Government of Ireland and the Government of the Polish People's Republic by means of an exchange of notes between the two Governments. The text of the agreement was presented to the Dáil as No. 17 of the Treaty Series for 1977.
This agreement commits the parties to facilitate and encourage economic, industrial, agricultural, scientific and technological co-operation between interested organisations, enterprises and firms in their respective countries. It provides for the convening of a joint commission to meet annually to consider means of advancing co-operation in various economic sectors of mutual interest, and regular meetings of this joint commission have taken place since 1977.
