Vol. 411 No. 6

Written Answers. - Family Planning Bill.

Ruairí Quinn

Question:

73 Mr. Quinn asked the Minister for Health if his attention has been drawn to the fact that health boards have decided by resolution, not to implement the provision of the Family Planning (Amendment) Bill, 1991, which, if enacted, will place responsibility on health boards to issue licences under this legislation; if he will outline the implications of this decision on the legislation as published by the Government; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I am not aware of any resolution being passed by a health board to the effect that they would not implement the provisions of the Family Planning (Amendment) Bill when it is enacted by the Oireachtas.
