81 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for Health if he will indicate the progress made regarding provision of phase 2 in Castlebar General Hospital since his reply to Parliamentary Question No. 196 of 12 February 1991; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
The capital allocation for 1992 has not yet been finalised but in the difficult budgetary situation facing the Government it is unlikely that it will be possible to proceed with the phase 2 development of Castlebar General Hospital next year. Provision for this project will have to be further considered in the context of the total capital available to the health services in the years subsequent to 1992.
