Vol. 411 No. 7

Written Answers. - Mitchelstown (Cork) Halting Site.

Paul Bradford

Question:

154 Mr. Bradford asked the Minister for Justice if he has considered recent correspondence received in his office from the Mitchelstown Community Council, County Cork (details supplied) concerning an unofficial halting site in Mitchelstown; and if he will outline his views on the matter raised by the council.

I am informed by the Garda authorities that caravans, the property of itinerants, are parked off the roadway north of Mitchelstown. The gardaí do not consider that the caravans are illegally parked but the situation is being kept under review.
