Question:214 Tomás Mac Giolla asked the Minister for Education the total number of male and female participants currently, and in the past year, involved in the vocational training opportunity scheme.

The numbers on the VTOS in May 1991 were 376 males and 136 females. This is the latest information available on the number of participants.
Additional groups were approved to start this autumn bringing the total number of places available to 1,060. Information on the number of places filled at this stage is not to hand.
