Phil Hogan

Question:

209 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for Education when work will commence on the provision of a new vocational school at Mooncoin, County Kilkenny; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 73, 183 and 209 together. An incomplete preliminary tender report was submitted in March 1991. Following correspondence with the Department a revised preliminary tender report was received in May 1991. This revised report was the subject of ongoing correspondence between the Vocational Education Committee and the Department and was finally cleared in the past week.

My Department's planning and building unit have requested County Kilkenny Vocational Education Committee's design team to prepare a final tender report.

I will keep the Deputies informed of developments in this case.
