Vol. 411 No. 8

Written Answers. - Defence Forces Housing.

Alan M. Dukes

Question:

34 Mr. Dukes asked the Minister for Defence if he will outline his views on whether adequate provision is being made for the housing of members of the Permanent Defence Force and their families.

The provision of housing is primarily a matter for local authorities and members of the Permanent Defence Force and their families have an equal claim on such housing with other members of the community in the same income category. My Department are satisfied that local authorities afford every consideration to the claims of such personnel.
