Question:

62 Mr. Ryan asked the Minister for Defence if he will outline the nature and extent of the reduction in the budget of his Department, both capital and non-capital, which was announced on 19 July 1991 and which indicated that £11.7 million and £0.35 million respectively were taken from his budgetary allocation; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The adjustments totalling £12,050,000 in respect of the Defence Group of Votes included in the package of corrective measures announced on 19 July, 1991, were made up as follows.
