Vol. 412 No. 1

Written Answers. - Health Board Charges.

Michael Ferris

Question:

136 Mr. Ferris asked the Minister for Health if his attention has been drawn to the fact that the Mid-West Health Board is reported as asking for deposits from disabled people with medical cards for wheelchairs; if his attention has further been drawn to the fact that the SouthEast board is reported as asking for £10 towards the supply of crutches and £5 per week for home help for old age/medical card holders; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I am having the position in the health boards referred to by the Deputy investigated at the moment and I will communicate with him in the matter as soon as possible.
