Vol. 412 No. 1

Written Answers. - Kerry National School.

Michael Moynihan

Question:

147 Mr. Moynihan asked the Minister for Education if she will outline the nature and terms of the agreement made between her Department and parents representing the Camp national school in County Kerry in 1970, when the school was closed and pupils transferred to Aghasla national school.

The former Camp national school was amalgamated with Aghasla national school in 1970 in accordance with the general arrangements at the time for the absorption of teaching staff and the provision of alternative school plans for the children, including transport to the amalgamation school in certain circumstances.

No agreement specific to the Camp school was made with parents representatives.
