Question:81 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the number of applications received from County Meath under the Leader programme; and when he expects to make a decision on these applications.

Four of the business plans submitted under Leader relate to County Meath.
All of the 34 plans received have been forwarded to the EC Commission together with the report of the consultants employed by my Department to assess the plans.
A decision as to the plans to be accepted for funding is expected to be announced by the EC Commission in two stages — December 1991 and February 1992.
