163 Mr. McGrath asked the Minister for the Environment if he will consider making it compulsory that a mortgage protection policy be taken before any house improvement loan issues from a local authority; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

There are no such proposals. In the case of improvement loans, insurance arrangements are a matter for each individual borrower.
