Vol. 413 No. 5

Written Answers. - FCA Dress Regulations.

Bernard Allen

Question:

199 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Defence if, in view of the fact that the Army does not provide clothing to the FCA for inclement weather, he will instruct the Army to advise military police not to harass FCA personnel reporting to barracks for failure to comply with Army dress regulations.

I understand that the military authorities have received no reports of harassment by Military Police of FCA personnel for failure to comply with Army dress regulations. However, in the light of the Deputy's question the matter is being further investigated and, if necessary, appropriate corrective action will be taken.
