Vol. 413 No. 7

Written Answers. - North Eastern Health Board Budget.

John V. Farrelly

Question:

63 Mr. Farrelly asked the Minister for Health if it is Government policy to reduce the budget allocation to the North Eastern Health Board for 1992 by the amount which the board received from property sold in Dunboyne, County Meath; if this is a general policy now followed by the Government in respect of all such property sales by health boards; and if not, the reason the North Eastern Health Board were penalised.

The determination of the non-capital allocation for the North Eastern Health Board for 1992 will not be affected by the decision regarding the sale of Dunboyne House.

The net proceeds from this sale will be brought into the appropriation-in-aid account in 1992 and will form part of my Department's capital programme for 1992. It is proposed to bring the proceeds of sales of other properties to a value of not less than £1.5 million to account during 1992 in a similar manner.
