Question:47 Mr. Andrews asked the Minister for the Marine the up-to-date position in relation to the proposal to locate a marina or marinas in Dún Laoghaire Harbour, County Dublin; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
Written Answers. - Dún Laoghaire Harbour Development.
The House is aware that I established the interim Dún Laoghaire Harbour Board last year to advise me on the management and development of Dún Laoghaire harbour including the establishment of marina facilities. The board has identified, in its draft development plan published earlier this year, a number of locations suitable for the installation of marina facilities within the harbour. The board is now considering the response received to its draft plan before making final recommendations on the development of the harbour.
I look forward to receiving the views of the board, which I expect early next year, on all aspects of their proposals having regard,inter alia, to any submissions they have received.
