81 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Justice whether it is his intention to amend the Intoxicating Liquor Act, 1988 in order to enable publicans to open for additional trading hours on (1) St. Patrick's Day, (2) New Year's Eve, (3) Easter and (4) at other Bank Holiday weekends.

I have no proposals at present to amend the Intoxicating Liquor Act, 1988, in order to extend the permitted hours for publicans on the days and weekends in question.
