Question:

93 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for Health if she will outline (1) the total spending in 1991 to date on each of the demand schemes operated by the health boards and (2) the way this compares with the same period in 1990.

In the period of January-September 1991 a sum of £95 million approximately was spent compared to £83 million approximately for the same period in 1990 for demand-led schemes.

The latest information available to my Department in relation to expenditure on these schemes is contained in the following table.
