Question:114 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Finance if he will outline the specifications which are used in the assessment of the quality of blinds as submitted to tender to his Department.
Written Answers. - Window Blind Contract Specifications.
The standard provision as regards quality in the specifications for contracts for the provision of window blinds for Government Departments and Offices is as follows: "Quality etc: All materials and workmanship throughout must be of the best quality and any inferior materials or practice will not be accepted". Depending on the type of blind required, the relevant and recognised trade standards are also prescribed in the specifications in each case.
