Question:137 Mr. Nealon asked the Minister for Education if he will outline the plans he has, if any, to amalgamate secondary education facilities in Ballaghadereen, County Roscommon.

It is proposed to amalgamate the three post-primary schools in Ballaghadereen, County Roscommon to form a single coeducational secondary school. The new school is to be developed on the site of St. Nathy's College and involves the utilisation of the existing college buildings and the provision of an extension. Architectural planning of the new building is proceeding.
