Vol. 415 No. 7

Written Answers. - Sewerage Services.

Patrick McCartan

Question:

122 Mr. McCartan asked the Minister for the Environment if he will meet with a deputation of the residents of St. Michael's Cottages, Balgriffin Park, Dublin 13, to discuss the urgent need for proper sewerage services for the houses; and if so, when; if his attention has been drawn to the fact that his agreement to meet with a deputation was conveyed to a meeting of the residents in December 1991; if he will outline whether he has reached a decision on the funding needed to allow this scheme to proceed; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Dublin Corporation submitted a revised preliminary report for this scheme to my Department in August 1991. The revised proposal includes drainage of 31 houses and a sports complex. The corporation have been requested to provide additional information to enable my Department to evaluate this proposal. When this is received, the matter will be progressed as quickly as possible. In these circumstances, it should not be necessary to meet a deputation at this stage.
