131 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for the Environment if he has received design proposals from Kilkenny County Council in respect of the provision of a new bridge at Castlecomer; if he will be in a position to sanction this project for 1992; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
I refer to the reply to Question No. 403 of 16 October 1991. In November 1990 a consultant's report commissioned by Kilkenny County Council regarding the cost of replacing or widening Castlecomer Bridge was received in my Department and this has been considered. I hope shortly to be in a position to notify local authorities of their road grant allocations for 1992. In the meantime I cannot comment on the possibility of an allocation for any particular project.
