Question:132 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for the Environment if he will approve the necessary finance for upgrading the public lighting system at Castlecomer, County Kilkenny; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
Written Answers. - Public Lighting Funding.
In May 1986 Kilkenny County Council submitted proposals for improving traffic route lighting on national secondary road N78 at Castlecomer and at other locations in the county. The council subsequently indicated that its proposal to improve traffic route lighting on the N76 Callan Road was one of higher priority and they were requested to submit a revised traffic route lighting scheme for that location. This has not yet been received in my Department.
