138 Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for the Environment if he will respond positively to the application by Mayo County Council for a special grant for the provision of emergency alternative sewerage arrangements for Tower View housing estate, Mellick, Swinford, County Mayo.

My Department are examining a proposal from Mayo County Council to upgrade sewage treatment works at a number of rural housing organisation developments in the county, including Tower View estate. It is not possible to indicate when funding will be available for those works.
