Question:

7 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Defence if he will outline his proposals for the future operation of Devoy Barracks, Naas, County Kildare; if future usage will include retention of the Army apprenticeship school; if he has plans for the extension of any of the facilities thereat; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

My Department are at present examining the future of all military barracks and posts in the context of rationalising military properties. No decision has been taken with regard to Devoy Barracks, Naas.

A review of the Army apprenticeship scheme is also being carried out at present.
