Vol. 415 No. 7

Written Answers. - Income Tax Rebate.

Ivan Yates

Question:

18 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Finance if the tax affairs of a person (details supplied) in County Wexford will be brought up to date now that the necessary forms have been completed for the local tax office; and, if so, when the resultant income tax rebate will be issued to him.

I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that the amended certificate of tax-free allowances which was issued by the inspector of taxes to the taxpayer on 30 January 1992 is correct. Any refund of tax due to the taxpayer should be refunded to him directly by his employer on the operation of that certificate.
