Question:401 Mr. McGrath asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will outline the quantity of beef in the cold store at Ballaghaderreen in County Westmeath on 1 January 1992.
Written Answers. - Intervention Beef Stock.
Stocks of intervention beef in the Ballaghaderreen cold store amounted to approximately 7,000 tonnes on 7 January — the date of the fire at the plant. I have no definite information regarding the quantities of commercial beef in the store at that time.
