Vol. 416 No. 1

Written Answers. - Outstanding Payments.

Emmet Stagg

Question:

28 Mr. Stagg asked the Minister for Defence if he will outline, in respect of FCA and Slua Muirí officers, when the outstanding sums due under the Programme for National Recovery /Programme for Economic and Social Progress, which have been paid to their regular counterparts in 1991, will be paid; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The terms of the Programme for Economic and Social Progress were agreed by the Representative Association of Commissioned Officers on 18 September 1991 and the increased pay rates were paid to officers of the Permanent Defence Force on 31 October 1991.

Officers of An Fórsa Cosanta Áitiúil and An Slua Muirí who have attended for training or performed security duties since October 1991 have been paid the increased rates of pay. All other officers will receive the increased rates together with any arrears on next reporting for training or security duties. Outstanding amounts under theProgramme for National Recovery have been paid.
