Vol. 416 No. 1

Written Answers. - Departmental Appropriations-in-Aid.

Seán Ryan

Question:

95 Mr. Ryan asked the Minister for Defence if, in respect of subhead Z, he will outline (1) the breakdown of the 1991 Appropriations in aid and the anticipated sums for 1992, (2) the amounts collected as extra Exchequer receipts in 1991 and (3) the anticipated income for that heading in 1992; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The breakdown of Appropriation-in-aid received in 1991 and the estimated receipts for 1992 are set out in the table hereunder.

A sum of £35 received by my Department in 1991 as "conscience money" was treated as an Exchequer extra receipt. There is no provision for such receipts in the 1992 Defence Estimates.
