Question:

140 Mr. J. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Health if he will outline, (a) the number of doctors of Irish nationality registered with the Medical Council, (b) the total annual fees paid by them for such registration, (c) the number of non-national doctors registered with the Medical Council and (d) the total annual fees paid by them for such registration.

The Medical Council do not keep a record of doctors' nationality.

The number of doctors registered in the two broad categories used by the council as at 15 October 1991 and the total registration fees paid by them are set out below:
