Question:

282 Mr. Ellis asked the Minister for Social Welfare the up to date position regarding the unemployment assistance claim of a person (details supplied) in County Leitrim.

The person concerned claimed unemployment assistance on 9 January 1992.

His case was sent to the local social welfare officer for investigation. This investigation will be completed when certain details of his means are confirmed. The case will then be forwarded to a deciding officer for decision and the person concerned will be informed of the outcome without delay.
