Vol. 416 No. 2

Written Answers. - Clerk Typist Appointment.

Dermot Ahern

Question:

106 Mr. D. Ahern asked the Minister for Education if he will consider the appointment of a permanent clerk typist for St. Joseph's school, Avenue Road, Dundalk, County Louth, which is urgently needed.

Under the Programme for Economic and Social Progress it is proposed to introduce a phased programme, commencing this year, to expand the provision for caretaking and clerical services to national schools with 100 pupils upwards and to post-primary schools with 200 pupils upwards.

I am not in a position to say at this point when it may be possible for St. Joseph's school to benefit under this programme.
