Question:86 Mr. McCormack asked the Minister for Health if he will outline the plans he has for the establishment of a community educational and development centre for County Galway; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The Brothers of Charity have identified a need for a day educational service for children (aged six and over) with severe mental handicap in the Galway city area. The service will benefit six to seven children and will be initiated through the redeployment of resources within those available to the Brothers of Charity. It is proposed to commence the service after Easter.
